Sasha Lucas’ passion for politics took root in high school, when she served as both a North Carolina General Assembly House Page and a North Carolina Governor’s Page. In 2015, she moved to Charlotte, N.C., to attend the University of North Carolina at Charlotte, where her passion for politics grew through her work on the Mark Harris for Congress campaign, the Dan Bishop for Congress special election, and several local political campaigns. These experiences ultimately inspired her to launch her own marketing agency specializing in political campaigns.
Immediately following graduation, Sasha continued working with the Dan Bishop for Congress campaign and interned with Nahigian Strategies to learn more about Public Relations and assist with the planning of the 2020 Republican National Convention in Charlotte, N.C.
In September 2019, Sasha returned to her hometown of Raleigh, N.C., to serve as Digital Director for the North Carolina Republican Party. In this role, she led the Party’s digital efforts throughout the 2020 election cycle, overseeing social media strategy, branding, graphic design, digital fundraising, website renovation and management, and digital support for local Republican Party organizations across the state.
After nearly two years with the North Carolina Republican Party, Sasha transitioned to Mountaire Farms, where she served as Community Relations Manager for the company’s Siler City, Candor, and Statesville facilities. Mountaire Farms is the nation’s fourth-largest poultry production company, with operations in Maryland, Delaware, Virginia, Arkansas, and North Carolina. During this time, she expanded programs and relationships for the newly opened Processing Facility in Siler City, N.C.
A year later, she joined NationBuilder as an Enterprise Account Manager. NationBuilder is a software platform that helps organizations, campaigns, and nonprofits build communities, manage supporters, raise funds, and organize people around shared goals. In this position, she not only deepened her knowledge of the platform, but helped Enterprise customers leverage the software’s tools and resources to advance their missions and achieve their goals.
Following the conclusion of the 2022 election cycle, Sasha returned to Mountaire Farms as a Mountaire Cares Manager, supporting the Candor and Statesville facilities in their community relations and outreach efforts. During her time with the company, Sasha expanded her knowledge of the agriculture and poultry industries while cultivating relationships with municipalities, economic development corporations, chambers of commerce, nonprofits, and other organizations aligned with the Mountaire Cares mission. In this role, she launched a statewide Farm to Table Scholarship, established a food pantry program in the Statesville region, and developed the Meals for Thousands program in Statesville, N.C.
Sasha is married to her husband, Jacob Lucas. Together, they have a pet pig named Porkie who lives on their farm in Star, N.C. who oversees their two Short Term Rentals and newly started Christmas Tree Farm. In addition, Sasha manages four Short Term Rental properties for her parents in Boothbay, Maine and runs a vintage/antique booth at House of Treasurers in Biscoe, N.C.
